KAILAN KINTHER (32) is a Windturner, one of the rare women born with the ancient ability to command air itself. Once sacred defenders of the realm of Verynthal, Windturners have become targets of a rising power: the MIRKA, a monstrous and enigmatic faction that hunts, enslaves, and performs brutal experiments on Windturners in hidden strongholds known as Witch’s Nests.

After being betrayed by her own brother and sold to the Mirka, Kailan is stripped of her name, her tribe, and nearly her life. When she escapes captivity, her broken body is found in the wilderness by COOP (38), a loyal but rigid officer en route to his new post at the Scantos Garrison, the last military outpost before the desolate mountains. Posing as a nameless recruit, Kailan adopts the alias "KINTH" and buries her past. But her purpose is clear: train harder than anyone, uncover the Mirka’s true intent, and save the remaining Windturners from extinction.

Kinth integrates into an elite strike team at Scantos, where trust is earned in blood and strength. Her ferocity earns admiration—and friction—especially from BEAR (30), a bold and confident soldier whose charm masks a guarded core. The team is rounded out by D.L. (37), a hardened combatant shaped by loss; her partner LONA (36), an intuitive blade-wielder with unmatched emotional insight; GRIFF (32), a steadfast warrior with a quiet sense of duty; and WALLOND (35), a calm tactician who sees more than he says.

Under Coop’s leadership, the group embarks on raids against Witch’s Nests, finding them littered with sigils, remnants of Windturner captives, and disturbing signs of an evolving threat. When Kinth discovers a symbol she recognizes from her past, it becomes clear the Mirka’s network is larger and older than anyone realized. She begins to suspect there are traitors among their ranks, and that the fall of her tribe was not an isolated event.

As the season unfolds, Kinth’s wind powers grow stronger, but so do the stakes. Her impulsive actions and emotional outbursts threaten the team’s stability, forcing Coop to walk a line between discipline and protection. Flashbacks reveal her once-noble lineage in the Woodcrest Tribe and her slow transformation from Kailan, a daughter of peace, to Kinther, a warrior forged by loss.

Windturner is a grounded, emotionally charged military fantasy drama about reclaiming identity, surviving trauma, and choosing to rise when the world turns against you.
